Focus on the fundraising needs and, with an eye to available resources, prepare a strategic plan on how you can raise money for charity. Study carefully your existing fundraising mix - individual giving, legacies, trusts & foundations, company sponsorship & donations, your community/event fundraising and other sources of income. Research possible new fundraising initiatives and sources. Produce a SWOT analysis for your organisation and/or your fundraising. Advise on fundraising priorities in terms of cost/income ratios as it affects your organisation. Produce an holistic Fundraising Strategy linking in your fundraising needs with your present & future resources (including cost-benefit analysis for each part of the fundraising mix). Advise on staffing structure. Project income for each activity for the next three or five years.
Developing a new Fundraising Strategy takes experience. Paddy and his associates have all actually worked in charities at the highest levels - they understand the realities of fundraising and tune their advice and strategies accordingly. You will not get an ‘off the shelf’ strategy - you will get one written specifically for your organisation which will incorporate the charity’s fundraising history, its strengths and weaknesses, its vision and its realities.
Any Fundraising Strategy we produce will be produced with you the client. It will be as short as possible and will consist of succinct, real, down-to-earth advice of the way forward. You will not get a 50+ pages report that mainly consists of 'off the shelf' sector analysis and studies that will sit in a corner somewhere gathering dust!
"We engaged Paddy to undertake a thorough audit and review of our fundraising activities and to advise us on the methodology and management of fundraising for the next three years. Subsequently to this we engaged him further to support us in a networking exercise.
For the initial assignment, Paddy undertook a thorough fundraising review and advised us on how to increase our fundraising. For three months he met with key trustees, fundraising and other staff, researched past, present and future funding sources, studied internal documents such as job descriptions, strategy papers, fundraising reports to the trustees etc. Then he wrote and presented his report to the trustees at their meeting. Following this meeting, we used Paddy to undertake an extensive ‘networking exercise’ among supporters of White Lodge Centre to unearth contacts into potential major donors and trustees of relevant trusts.
His work was delivered on time and he regularly reported on his progress. He has the expertise and resources to deliver a high quality service and we were very happy with his work, so much so that we would certainly recommend him to organisations looking for fundraising advice and support. "

This wonderful charity in Kent provides support for family members, carers, friends and professionals supporting children and young people with Down's Syndrome.
“We engaged Paddy to take a look at all our fundraising and to produce a 3-5 Year Fundraising Strategy for the charity. He had a clear five-step methodology for doing this and at the end of the process we had a no-nonsense strategy, agreed by everyone in the organisation.
Paddy has a fantastic way of engaging the whole organisation to engage in the strategic process. He was open, honest, and flexible throughout the process and expectations were clearly set and achieved. We can now head into a future of fundraising with a much clearer picture of how our charity can thrive and grow. Thank-you Paddy!”
